Ep. 104 The Disaster Artist: So Bad it’s Good

The Disaster Artist is a film based on the book by Greg Sestero,  starring brother duo James Franco and Dave Franco. This story tells the tale of the making of the infamous film, The Room. Today’s podcast highlights the panels expectations and hopes for The Disaster Artist but also inspires a conversation about our favorite pop culture guilty pleasures. We divulge our favorite movies that are so bad, they’re good.

“The Room” has reached cult-favorite status, gaining passionate fans similar to those of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

In our Being Human segment, we discuss why major technology moguls limit their children’s screen time and send them to anti-tech schools. Our panel of Shrinks discusses how those who spend the most time with technology fully grasp its dark side, and could lead to higher risks of depression and suicide in kids.

In our Doctor’s Orders segment, Dr. Emma Kate Wright recommends Keith Urban’s new song, Female, Dr. Frank Gaskill recommends a positive habit-forming app, Habitica and Jonathan Hetterly recommends R.E.M’s remastered version of Automatic for the People

Join our Shrink Tank podcast contributors Dave Verhaagen, Emma Kate Wright, Frank Gaskill and Jonathan Hetterly as they discuss this week’s trending topic.
