The fifth season of FX’s The Americans premiered this week.  The show is a mix of genres centering around sleeper Russian agents who are also raising a family is suburban 80s America.  But suddenly the show isn’t feeling so retro, with accusations of Russia tampering with the Presidential Election and President Trump’s uneasy alliance with Putin.
